		<description>If my paycheck went up 3.24% in 1 MONTH, I would call it a surge as this is a 38.9% increase on an annualized basis which is what you reference in your post as the paycheck increase.  I wouldn&#039;t say it&#039;s accurate to compare monthly to annualized percentage gains.</description>
